We inform that the call for project submissions for the CONICET/CLAF 2026 Internal Postdoctoral Fellowships is now open. The full call text can be found on the CONICET website, via this link.
The call is intended for foreign applicants from CLAF member countries (with the exception of Argentina) who have completed their doctoral theses and whose objective is to further develop their academic training or specialization, as well as to carry out basic or applied research or technological development activities.
Duration: thirty-six (36) months, starting on 01/08/2026.
The Board will award a total of five (5) Internal Postdoctoral Fellowships in the following thematic areas:
High Energy Physics and Astroparticles / Cosmology
Nuclear Physics and Plasma Physics
Condensed matter and materials Physics and Nanotechnology
Research projects involving large scientific infrastructures
CONICET will fully fund the fellowship stipend. However, applicants must obtain the endorsement of the Latin American Center of Physics (CLAF) for the submission of their application, which must be requested by email at claf@cbpf.br (cc: ulisses@cbpf.br)
Please note that, from this call onward, only applications for the Internal Postdoctoral Fellowship from candidates who have submitted the final copies of their doctoral thesis or have already defended it at the time of submission will be accepted.
