[26/08/2026]

Dear Colleagues,

We kindly ask that each Nuclear Physics and Application research group in Latin America provide a concise overview of its recent research efforts and main achievements, in order to ensure an accurate and representative account of the current landscape of Nuclear Physics and its Applications. You are welcome to include a short overview of your group’s history, its main activities, key results, and possibly its future plans. This report will include research groups from several Latin American countries; therefore, we request only a single-page contribution from each group following the attached template. At the end of this page, you may include a few representative references from your research.

In addition to this page, please send us separately a list of all group members (including the names of the researchers, faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate students), so that we can carry out a statistical analysis to be presented at the end of the white paper.

We kindly ask that the summary be submitted by September 30th, 2026.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards,

Nilberto Medina (Brazil), Leandro Gasques (Brazil), Letícia Palhares (Brazil), Diego Torres (Colombia) and Rodolfo Id Betan (Argentina)
Representatives of the Latin American Association of Nuclear Physics and Applications (ALAFNA)
